DDP-Protokoll

Das Datagram Delivery Protocol (DDP) ist ein Apple- Protokoll. Es ist auf der Vermittlungsschicht angesiedelt und ermöglicht die Adressierung und Vermittlung von Datagrammen in einem AppleTalk-Netzwerkverbund.

Das DDP-Protokoll unterstützt die Übertragung ohne garantierter Datagramm-Auslieferung. Das Datagram Delivery Protocol (DDP) ist vergleichbar mit dem IP-Protokoll und bildet im AppleTalk- Protokollstack die Basis für die darüber liegenden Transportprotokolle: AppleTalk Echo Protocol ( AEP), AppleTalk Transaction Protocol ( ATP), AppleTalk Update-based Routing Protocol ( AURP) und Name Binding Protocol ( NBP).
