Integrierte Schaltungen ( IC) in ULSI-Technologie haben zwischen einhunderttausend (`10^5`) und einer Million (`10^6`) Transistoren. Die ULSI-Technologie wurde Mitte der 80er-Jahre realisiert und arbeitet mit einer Strukturbreite von 1,5 µm.
