3D-MIMO
MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) is a multi- antenna technology that works with several transmitting and receiving antennas and thus increases the reception field strength. To further increase the received field strength, the three-dimensional MIMO technology was developed, which works with different polarization planes.
While in the familiar MIMO technology all antennas transmit and receive in the same plane of polarization, 3D MIMO works with horizontal and vertical polarization. However, the number and arrangement of antennas make MIMO networks more complex because the antenna conglomerate is formed by both horizontally and vertically polarized antennas. Compared to conventional MIMO technology, 3D MIMO increases radio cell throughput.
