Apt-X
Apt-X is an audio compression that was developed in 1990 and is characterized by the lowest delay times and high sound quality. The theoretical delay time is 3 ms.
Apt-X, which uses Adaptive Delta Pulse CodeModulation( ADPCM), is also available in an extended format as Enhanced apt-X. This format brings further improvements in delay times and high sound quality. This process brings a further improvement in delay time and dynamic range, as word widths of 24 bits are processed in this format.
Key features of atp-X include 4:1:4 data reduction, mono/ stereo encoder, high bandwidth of up to 22.5 kHz, and flexible sampling rates up to 48 kHz.
