C0G dielectric

C0G is a ceramic dielectric defined by the Electronics Industry Association( EIA) for ceramic capacitors. It corresponds to the designation Negative-Positive-Zero (NP0) and is characterized by a plane temperature coefficient. The C0G dielectric consists of various rare earth oxides such as neodymium or samarium or other rare earths.

C0G (NP0)capacitors have an extremely low temperature coefficient, which is less than +/-0.3 ppm/°C. The temperature dependence of such capacitors is therefore negligible. The TC coefficient is only about one fifth of that of other capacitors; moreover, the behavior shows no changes during the service life.
