C2 level security

C2 Level Security is a U.S. government security standard described in the Orange Book.

C2 was defined by the National Computer Security Center (NCSC) and identifies a heightened security standard for confidential data in computer systems. C2 primarily targets access authorization and logon procedures and includes computer hardware and the operating system. The C2 security standard is set at a low level and, among other things, prevents programs from being started without a password prompt. The access procedure is logged.
