Chlorosulfonated polyethylene

Chlorosulphonyl polyethylene rubber (CSM) is an insulating material for cables with the DIN/VDE designation 6G. Chlorosulphonyl polyethylene rubber is better known under the registered trademark Hypalon (CSM) of the Dupont company. It is comparable to chloroprene rubber( CR) in its properties of heat resistance and resistance to oil. Hypalon is used in communications technology as an insulating material for cables. Chlorosulfonated polyethylene is specified in ISO 1629.
