Communauté Européenne (CE)
Since 1.1.1992, active and passive components that comply with the existing EMC directives can be marked with the conformity mark( CE) of the European Union.
Since 1.1.1996, CE conformity has been legally binding; all electrical and electronic equipment must bear the CE mark since this date, including all data networks with their passive components, such as cables, distributors, patch cords, etc.
The CE mark expresses that the product complies with the European hazard protection standards, directives and regulations, especially the requirements in the EMVG.
The conformity test is performed by an independent test laboratory, which certifies compliance with the protection requirements according to the EMC directives for electromagnetic compatibility.
