CorNet-IP

With the CorNet-IP protocol, Siemens has developed a routing protocol that builds on existing protocols such as H.323, MGCP protocol, MEGACO or the RTP protocol (Realtime Transport Protocol) and incorporates signaling and control functions required for Internet telephony.

CorNet-IP is equally applicable for Internetworking in packet- and circuit-switched networks. Since the protocol incorporates signaling, telephony functions can be provided in a decentralized manner.
