DVB subtitling system (DVB-SUB)

DVB- SUB is one of many DigitalVideoBroadcasting (DVB) specifications. As can be seen from the name DVB-SUB, which stands for Subtitling, it is the specification for subtitling DVB displays and for displaying graphics.

DVB-SUB is specified in ETS 300743: The specifications correspond to those of DVB- TXT with the difference that additional data can be inserted as selectable subtitles in the picture.
