DVCPro format
DVCPro is a DV format developed by Panasonic with a resolution of Standard Definition Television( SDTV) with 720 x 576 pixels and a sampling depth of 8 bits.
The data is reduced with a color subsampling of 4:1:1 and the Discrete Cosine Transformation( DCT) compression method. The maximum data rate is 12 GB/h. DVCPro uses the CSDI interface as the interface for transferring the data. Via this interface, the data can be transferred at up to four times the transfer speed.
The track widths of DVCPro are 18 µm wider than those of DVCAM, which results in improved dropout. DVCPro is used in the amateur sector and in semi-professional video technology.
