Euronet

Euronet is a data packetswitchingnetwork installed and operated by the European telecommunications administrations on behalf of the Commission of the European Community in 1979. Network nodes are located in Frankfurt, London, Paris, Rome and Zurich. They are interconnected via 48 kbit/s lines by means of data packet switching. Euronet is an association of national networks, exclusively for the use of the European information service DIANE (Direct Information Access Network for Europe).
