I seek you (IM) (ICQ)

I Seek You (ICQ) was one of the first messenger services based on instant mess aging(IM). It is a free communication program for chatting, email and messagingthrough filetransfer.

The "I Seek You" program is available for free download on the Internet, but requires registration on the ICQ website. Registration gives users their own password-protected ICQ number, the Universal Internet Number( UIN), which is comparable to a telephone number. The account runs via this number.

With the ICQ program, users can exchange files with each other or send time-shifted messages. ICQ manages the participant addresses and profiles and shows which participants are currently online.
