ICAP forum

The ICAP Forum consists of vendors whose goal is to enable communication between edge devices and network-based applications.

The ICAP Forum aims to accelerate the availability of solutions, make the problems to be solved more understandable, and support the standards community in the development of open standards.

The ICAP Forum has developed a draft protocol for Internet services at the HTTP level. The Internet Content Adaption Protocol (ICAP) is an Internet draft submitted to the Internet Engineering Task Force( IETF).

Founded by Network Appliance and Akamai, the ICAP Forum's activities are aimed at simplifying the distribution and review of Web content.
