IEC 62454

The IEC standard of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) refers to air-water cooling in electronic cabinets, which it divides into the cabinet level, the subrack level and the board level.

At the specifies IEC 62454 an air-water heat exchanger(LWWT) as floor or side mounted, where the entire rack is cooled. At the subrack level, air-water cooling is proposed to be positioned on the side, which can also be partially arranged, cooling only one or a group of subracks. And at the board level, the air-water cooling acts directly on the PCB or even on individual components.
