IF band

The IF band is used for the intermediate frequency (IF) of satellite receivers. The standard frequency band is between 950 MHz and 1,750 MHz, the extended one ranges from 700 MHz to 2,150 MHz. The IF band results from the mixture of the satellite transmission frequency with the frequency of the local oscillator ( LO) in the LNB converter.
