Intel video (Indeo)
Indeo, developed by Intel, is a compression method for video and audio signals. It works on a software basis and was developed for the i750 processor. Like the Cinepak codec, Indeo has a color depth of 24 bits and a maximum resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The compression method used in Indeo works asymmetrically and is lossy. The compression ratio is about 7:1.
The file extension is *.avi; the files can be played with Video for Windows and Media Playback.
