Java authentication and authorization service (JAAS)

The Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS) is a set of Java APIs that enable an application program to authenticate users and control access to program parts.

The Core Java Technology of Java 2 Standard Edition( J2SE) contains the programming interfaces ( API) for the security mechanisms (JAAS) in addition to the language core.
