Microsoft commercial Internet system (MCIS)

Microsoft Commercial InternetSystem (MCIS) is a service offered by Microsoft. It is a set of Internet servers that enables companies to operate e-commerce or maintain intranets with a website. It can also be used by Internet Service Providers( ISP), who in turn offer the service to their customers as a shared service. The Windows NTServer is an important basis for MCIS.

The Internet Information Server in turn supports the relevant standards such as Common Gateway Interface Scripting and Perl. A major advantage in the use of MCIS is that it is fully scalable for companies. As soon as their e-commerce business grows, they have the possibility to flexibly expand capacities via MCIS.
