Mobipocket (MBP)

The MBP (Mobipocket) format is a file format for e-books.

The French company Mobipocket developed an e-book reader program for PDAs, which is functionally comparable to the Microsoft Reader, but uses its own proprietary file format. Mobipocket represents a further development of the PalmDOC format.

The Mobipocket reader allows display in four different font sizes and can read text files (.txt) and HTML files(.html).
