PCI, ISA (PISA)
PISA(PCI, ISA) is a word creation from the PCI bus and the ISA bus. This bus system for industrial computers, like PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group( PICMG), combines the two bus systems.
In contrast to the standardized PICMG, the non-standardized PISA works with a special connector strip. The connector strip of the PISA Computer-on-Module consists of two contact strips arranged one above the other: one for the PCI bus, the other for the ISA bus. The advantage of this technology can be seen in the shortening of the PISA module, whose length is 155 mm, with a width of 122 mm. The computer architecture of PISA is based on central processing units of the x86 series, 80386, 80486.
