Simulink

Simulink is an extension ofMatrix Laboratory( MATLAB) - also called Toolbox - for modeling, simulation and analysis of dynamic systems. The graphical user interface allows the creation of the system under consideration in the clear and intuitively accessible form of a signal flow diagram consisting of linked function blocks. A text-oriented programming of the differential and difference equations is thus no longer necessary.

Simulink provides a large number of ready-made function blocks for linear, nonlinear, discrete and hybrid systemsin an extensive library. Custom blocks and libraries can also be created.

After creating the model to be studied in Simulink by linking the required function blocks, the simulation is started. During the simulation, signals can be tapped and displayed at any point in the model's signal flow diagram. In the same way, signals can also be stored in MATLAB for graphical display, processing and further processing. It is also possible to assign and change the parameters of all function blocks directly or from MATLAB. For the analysis of simulation results, Simulink's own tools as well as all analysis tools provided by MATLAB and its toolboxes can be used at any time.
