Traffic citation number

The traffic separation code (TCC) is part of the national and international telephone number.

In the case of the national number, the traffic segregation digit is a zero that must be dialed before the area code. For example, when dialing into the Munich local network, the subscriber must dial a zero before the local network code (89): 089. The same applies to all other dialing into local networks.

Structure of an international telephone number

International telephone numbers have two zeros (00) as the international traffic prefix (VAZ), which must be dialed before the country code. In the case of Austria, whose country code is 43, the subscriber must dial 0043 when dialing into the Austrian telecommunications network.
