XSL transformation (XML) (XSLT)

XSLTransformation (XSLT) is an XML-baseddescription language standardized by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) for converting between different XML dialects.

XSLT can be used to convert XML data into a desired output format for display and output. In the process, the XML files are transformed by XSLT processors into the appropriate output format for display and output according to the XSLT rules. As a transformation of XSL (Extensible Stylesheet Language), XSLT can transform documents into other documents, such as HTML documents, according to specific rules and uses XPath when processing documents further.

XSLT achieves a separation between data and its representation.
