access manager (AM)

The Access Manager (AM) is the switching and control unit in Personal Access Communications Systems ( PACS) . It controls the Radio Port Controller ( RPC) and forms the interface to the public networks. In addition to the user data transfer, the Access Manager monitors and controls the signaling.
