access media gateway (AMG)

In Next Generation Networks ( NGN), the Access Media Gateway (AMG) represents the interface for the residential customer. Via such a gateway, the customer can connect his old analogue telephone, ISDN, xDSL technologies or an access multiplexer. The Access Media Gateway is equipped with a V.5 interface.
