advanced evasion technique (AET)

Advanced Evasion Technique (AET) is a term from information security in which attacks on security systems are not detected. It is an obfuscation technique consisting of various evasion methods that are combined with each other.

An AET code is not necessarily malicious. The danger of AET attacks is that the attacker can gain access to a network without being noticed by IDS or IPS systems.

AET evasion techniques use word creations composed of individual words, each of which does not provide system access on its own. For example, if the words "money" and "move" are not allowed by an intrusion detection system (IDS), the word creation "scheliebldveren" could be used to provide access.
