alien near end crosstalk (ANEXT)

With the extensions of the frequency range for data cables and link classes according to ISO class"Ea" and "Fa", or Category 6a( Cat 6a), in addition to all known cable parameters such as Near End Crosstalk ( NEXT), Powersum NEXT( PSNEXT), Attenuation to Crosstalk Ratio ( ACR), Powersum ACR( PSACR), Equal Level Far End Crosstalk ( ELFEXT) etc., new cable parameters are to be measured. new cable parameters are also measured, namely Alien Near End Crosstalk (ANEXT) and Alien Far End Crosstalk( AFEXT).

ANEXT and AFEXT describe the crosstalk from adjacent cables on a data cable at the beginning and end of the cable, where ANEXT stands for the beginning of the cable. This cable parameter describes the influence of the sum of external interference sources on a data cable. Because of the increased frequencies, which are "Fa" 1 GHz at the International Standards Organization (ISO), the ANEXT value plays an essential role for the transmission of high-speed technologies such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
