allowed cell rate (ATM) (ACR)

Allowed Cell Rate (ACR) is an ABR service parameter of the available bit rate (ABR) in an ATM network.

Allowed Cell Rate (ACR is the instantaneous transmission rate in cells/ second at which a data source is allowed to transmit. The Allowed Cell RAte (ACR) varies between the Minimum Cell Rate( MCR) and the Peak Cell Rate( PCR) and is dynamically controlled by the congestion control.
