application vulnerability description language (AVDL)

The Application Vulnerability Description Language (AVDL) is the de facto standard for security interoperability published by OASIS in 2004.

AVDL supports the communication and exchange of security tools from different vendors. This approach allows different applications to be coordinated with each other in terms of automated security management. AVDL provides predefined XML schemas for this purpose, which can be used to describe security vulnerabilities in programs.
