audiosoft file structure (MP3) (ASFS)

The ASFS audio file format is a special audio format for secure distribution over digital networks. The Audiosoft File Structure (ASFS) takes MP3 data in a container with copy protection and is marked with a serial number.

The audio file can be copied to hard disks and sent. However, if a copy is to be played, the ASFS mechanism compares the serial number with the one authorized for the computer and then prevents playback if it does not match.

ASFS supports multi- level security management, giving music producers greater control over copyrights. Generally, the assigned copyrights can also be to individuals who play the music tracks on their computers. There are also free licenses for a limited period of time and cheaper licenses so that you can download the music tracks to your own laptop.
