A Bad Link or Broken Link is a link that does not represent a correct connection. This means that it does not lead to the desired Internet address or the address is now inactive.
This bad link is caused, for example, by a misspelled Internet address( URL) or a URL that has not been updated. Often the reason is also that the Internet page is no longer active. The error message is then displayed as HTTP status code Error 404.
Such broken links or bad links are also called dead links. If the website has several broken links, then the ranking can be negatively affected.
