bad rank
Bad Rank means bad ranking. It refers to Google's former PageRank and means a PageRank of zero( PR=0). This can be recognized by the fact that the bar display for the PageRank remains white.
A web page with Bad Rank is either newly indexed or has been downgraded due to violations of the search engine operator's guidelines. For newly indexed web pages, the bar indicator is gray until the first PageRank update, and until the search engines have made an evaluation. For downgraded web pages it is white.
Such a downgrading can be caused by intentional wrong linking, spam activities, hijacking, cloaking, bad neighborhood or too high keyword density. It is also detrimental for the rating if a link leads to a website with bad rank.
