bitonal

A bitonal graphic or image consists of only two elements: black and white pixels.

Grayscale is reproduced by rasterization. In this process, the size and density of the individual pixels change depending on the gray level.

With a white value only white pixels are displayed, with black only black pixels are displayed and with a gray value of 50% the number of black pixels corresponds to the number of white pixels.
