Blogspams are entries in blogs that are posted manually or automatically with the purpose of generating links to other websites.

Thematically, they have nothing to do with the topics covered in the blogs. They are pre-written scripts with mostly promotional content.

The goal of blogspams is to increase link popularity and thus achieve a better ranking. This type of spam is prevented by search engine operators.
