busy condition (BC)

Busy Condition(BC) is a status indication. This control signal is used in data and telecommunications to indicate that certain resources are currently not available.

The busy condition can be a transmission channel that is currently overloaded or whose buffer is overflowing, services, interfaces or programs that cannot be accessed. A BC status is usually a temporary status that can be used again after the congestion is removed or after call redirection.

The Busy Condition status message is also used when making a call, and is used when the called line is busy.
