Cable ducts are shafts, comparable to a chimney, which are installed in buildings and in which cables are later laid.
Cable shafts are generally arranged vertically as a cavity between each floor. On each floor they have openings to allow the cables to be laid further into the horizontally arranged cable trays or cable ducts.
In cable ducts all cables are laid, those for power supply, network cables and others for building automation or antenna systems. To prevent the various signals from influencing each other, cable ducts are divided into several chambers.
