central European summer time (CEST)

In general, Germany uses Central European Time ( CET), which is one hour behind Coordinated Universal Time ( UTC). Since the clocks have been adjusted by one hour in summer since 1980, it is referred to as Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is two hours behind Coordinated Universal Time.
