A Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) leads a team responsible for the organization's information security.

Under the direction of a Chief Information Security Officer, security programs are developed and implemented to ensure rapid data recovery in the event of a system disruption or crash. In addition, the Chief Information Security Officer ( CSO) or Chief Security Officer (CSO) developssecurity policies for IT and communications systems to protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber attacks.

Chief Information Security Officers work with all corporate departments and are responsible for updating security programs and replacing security systems.
