chloroprene rubber (CR)

Chloroprene rubber (CR) is a rubber with the DIN/VDE designation5G. Due to its permanent elasticity and above all its heat resistance, chloroprene rubber is used in communications technology and electronics as an insulating material for cables. It is suitable for temperatures between -30°C and 120°C.

Chloroprene rubber is described in ISO 1043 and is manufactured by various companies under protected brand names; for example, Neoprene or Baypren.
