Clean Desk Policies(CDP) are user guidelines for the workplace. Clean Desk Policies define what the workplace should look like when an employee leaves the office.
CDP policies are intended to improve productivity and ensure that other employees using the workstation will find a clean workspace. The CDP policy also addresses confidentiality ofinformation because it supports the storage of confidential data.
Clean Desk Policies specify employee and employer responsibilities and whoreviews the actions taken. In addition, the CDP policies include how the review will take place and what the consequences will be if the CDP policies are not followed.
