clerness of sound

Clarity is a characteristic value of room acoustics, just like clarity and speech intelligibility. Like clarity, clarity is measured as a clarity measure with an acoustic room impulse.

The clarity measure is concerned with the reflections that occur in the first 80 ms after the room impulse and are set in relation to the total reflections. That is why this value is also called C80. The C80 value of the room measure depends on the arrangement of the loudspeakers and the seating position of the listeners. Furthermore, it is classified differently for classical music than for romantic music. Good clarity measures are above -2 dB.
