coded octal phase shift keying (Modulation) (COPSK)

Coded Octal phaseShift Keying (COPSK) is a special phase shift keying technique that was developed as early as the mid-1980s. With this phase shift keying, eight phases are encoded.

The COPSK method is used for the transmission of digitaldata at high data rates. Among other things, COPS modulation is used in satellite communications in conjunction with Time Division Multiple Access( TDMA) for data rates of 140 Mbps.

Compared to quadrature phase shift ke ying( QPSK), COPS has a 3 dB to 5 dB higher coding efficiency,
