common mode voltage range (op-amp) (CMVR)

The Common Mode Voltage Range (CMVR) is the dynamic range of active components and assemblies with differential inputs, such as differential amplifiers and operational amplifiers, in which the amplifier operates linearly.

The CMVR range specifies the dynamic range in which the components or amplifiers operate properly. As for the common mode voltage, it is the average of the sum of the input voltages. For example, if the input voltage at the positive input is xVolts and the input voltage at the negative input is yVolts, then the common mode voltage( CMV) is: (xV + yV)/2.
