Communication-as-a-Service (CaaS) is a managed service used by medium-sized companies. As with all other Anything-as-a-Service(XaaS), cost reduction is the decisive criterion for using Communication as a Service.
Communication as a Service has the advantages for the user, the low capital costs( CapEx) and the calculated operating costs( OpEx). Medium-sized companies also have the advantage of always being provided with the latest technology and not having to train specialized personnel.
The services offered under Communication as a Service include communications technology services and, in turn, IP-based services. This means both the provision of network structures such as virtual private networks( VPN) and IP services such as Internet telephony( VoIP) or IP-Centrex.
