communication service provider (CSP)

Communication Service Providers(CSPs) are communications service providers that transport information electronically over communications networks. Traditional Communication Service Providers are providers that have their own communications infrastructure and transmit their communications services via fixed networks, cable networks, mobile networks, radio links and satellites.

The range of services offered by CSP providers is primarily aimed at companies in the telecommunications, Internet, cable networks and communications satellite sectors and includes traditional telecommunications with telephony and data transport, consumer electronics with radio and television broadcasting, multimedia technology and the Internet with web services. Some communications service providers specialize in one or another area of application, such as Internet telephony or the transmission of television programs, while others have a broad-based offering. In addition to the standard offering, CSP providers offer new managed services and good customer service.
