compressed real time protocol (CRTP)
The Compressed Real Time Protocol (CRTP) of the Internet Engineering Task Force ( IETF) described in RFC 2508 is used to reduce the overhead ofIP headers.
The CRTP protocol reduces identical headers of consecutive data packets. The Compressed RTP protocol can compress data in Realtime Transport Protocol (RTP), User Datagram Protocol( UDP), and Internet Protocol ( IP) headers so that these headers are reduced to two bytes, making data throughput more effective and faster, especially at slow transmission speeds.
