computer incident response team (security) (CIRT)

A Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) is a team that resolves computer incidents.

A CIRT team is a group of people, usually consisting of security analysts, organized to act directly on computer incidents. The CIRT team develops remedial actions to contain, eliminate, and restore computer functions after incidents and disruptions. Such a team is also referred to as a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) or Computer Incident Response Center( CIRC).
