Conjugate Structure Algebraic Code Excited Linear Prediction(CS- ACELP) is an algorithm for speech compression in transmission lines with 8 kbit/s transmission.
The algorithm, which is described in ITU standardG.729 (A), also controls speech pause suppression. During these pauses, the available bandwidth is used by another network application. The speech quality determined by the MOS value, the Mean Opinion Score (MOS), is very good and is 4.2.
