connectionless server (B-ISDN) (CLS)

Connectionless Server(CLS) is a system unit within ATM networks for operating connectionless services. These switching units act as a buffer and emulate a connectionless service to the outside world. Connectionless servers communicate to users using the Connectionless Networks Access Protocol (CLNAP) and to each other using the Connectionless Networks Interface Protocol (CLNIP).
